I am working on a 1930 Model "A" five window coupe Street Rod.  I would like to replace the soft top with steel.  do you know of anyone who makes sheet metal to replace the soft top?  Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

just curious...

did you want a complete drop in unit..  as i don't think those exist.. but they could be made..

even made out of fiberglass..  or... if you have a thick wallet.. carbon fiber..

look at the underside of hoods and trunk lids for inner panel shapes..

a fiberglass or carbon fiber insert could be covered in landau top material.. and it could fit a much larger area of the roof...   so it becomes a Toupee..  perhaps.. even in a leather looking material.. so it looks like  expensive luggage

if you are thinking about a piece of sheet metal to weld in that has a tiny amount of curve..

think the roofs of cars and vans in junk yards..

some might be great donors.

oh.. this is an older post..
