While reading, "Vintage Looks, Modern Guts" in Rod and Custom May 2013 issue, I noticed the word "diameter" was misused two times on page 26 and four times on page 27 in the captions for pictures 1,4,5 and 6.  You should have used the word "perimeter" which would have provided the correct meaning in each case.  Diameter is only used to describe the distance from one side of a circle to the opposite side measured through the center.

I am a 70-year old retired math teacher who has read Rod and Custom since the "little pages" in the early fifties.  I couldn't resist making a comment.  Your excellent photography made up for any misunderstanding that may have been caused by the repeated misuse of the word "diameter".
