Can someone tell me the measurement of a Tail Shaft Housing on a Ford FMX Small Case transmission. Thanks
I couldn't find a measurement on that tail shaft housing. The FMX trans was introduced in 1968 and was built until 1982. The FMX had a stronger MX-type rotating parts. The FMX used a RAVINEAUX planetary gearset. It was replaced by the C-6. I know that doesn't help you for your maesurements.....Sorry Bob AKA-pepsi1I ordered a '68 Ford Galalxie 500 (P) Code. That was our first family car. So I couldn't order a 4 Speed. That was the first year of the FMX Trans. The (P) Code was FE 390/330...LOL...The only thing I ever replaced on it was the "O" Ring for the valve body shifter. It was a strong box. I was told that Ford used them in taxi cabs.
