first off id like to start off by sayin im really new to this stuff n dont really know how this all works, but i just bought a 66 continental n have a few questions about the best way to go about the motor if it was worth rebuilding or just rep-lacing it with a crate motor n tranny n whatnot, basically the cheapest way out i no its expensive n parts r had to find and expensive to keep the 462 but i dont wanna lose the value of the car when its done. and if anyone wood happen to no of any sites with parts and and rebuild kits for the motor. the body is in good shape n im a body guy so i could do all of that but not really mechanically inclined so im gunna be sending most of the motor work tranny work n rear n everything out to be done. if anyone has any ideas let me no please thank you

There is not much you can to to pump up the power with the 462. It's a good engine, just low production numbers therefore small market. There is a tri-carb setup for the MEL motor but you will pay and arm and a leg for it. Check this site for more help with the Lincoln;

See what Thom Taylor just did in the latest issue with a lincoln. Any body can restore one but it takes a special person to cut one up and put it back together..:}
