Hey guys I just wanted to let you know that my book The Hot Rod Art book: Masters of chicken scratch will be officially released on February 10, 2009. Already the book has been very well received and highly anticipated. Advanced copies were available at the Grand National Roadster show and it sold out! Several artists stopped by the show including Chip Foose, Steve Strope, Carter Hickman, Eric Black, Larry Wood, and many others to check out the book. For those of you that have not yet heard of this hot rod art book, it is a unique book of over 100 pages of beautiful hot rod art from thirteen very talented artists including Dwayne Vance (myself), Brian Stupski, Randy Ricklefs, John Bell, Eric Brockmeyer, Michael Miernik, Max Grundy, Jimmy Smith, James Owens, Justin *** Thom Taylor, Larry Wood, and Steve Stanford. Also included is a CD that contains over an hour and a half of instruction content. Please visit www.hotrodartbook.com for more details, see pictures or to order your copy!
Thanks, Dwayne Vance

What Dwayne didn't tell you is that this book is great. I was too late to get a copy at the Grand National Roadster Show, but got one the next week. Awesome! My only complaint--I watched the instructional CD and i still can't draw like Brian Stupski. What's up with that?!
The Hot Rod Art book: Masters of chicken scratch is reviewed along with a bunch of other great books in the July (or August) issue of R&C. Tim Bernsau

Thanks, Tim! ... that's too kind!
I may be a bit biased here, but the book is just incredible, and the tutorial CD is packed with information. Dwayne built an amazing book, loaded it with supremely talented artists, and wrapped it around some great foundational exercises for any automotive artist to benefit from. An honor to be involved, and an even greater one to all Dwayne a good friend!
