My name is Matt Thompson.  I'm the Grandson of former R&C Editor, Lynn Wineland.  He passed away on his 81st Birthday Feb. 24, 2009.  There are plans to hold a memorial for him at the Petersen Museum in the near future.  For those that knew him, he will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with you and your family Matt. Lynn's influence helped build the hobby and the magazine into what they are today.

As a long time reader of R&C, I remember Mr. Wineland and the good work he did as editor.  I am very sad to hear of his passing and am sorry for your loss...I am sure he will be missed.
