I am building a custom 55 nomad. Looking for a tail gate w/power window that can be adapted to the nomad. Not afraid of extensive modifications.

Why does it have to be from a tailgate? I would think any power regulator from a two door car could be easily adapted. If I was going to do that I would retain the lift gate and weld the sides and upper portion to the body, you would have your upper channels that way. Channels in the tailgate could be homemade or robbed from your donor door. A couple brackets for the regulator and instant power window.
