Happy New Year to all!
Just got back from our yearly Christmas Holiday trip to the in-laws in the mountain country of south- central Pennsylvania.
The better half looks forward to the trip more than I do as she sees her family, etc, but I usually wind up bored outta my skull by day two and wind up doin' custom work on the brother-in-laws vehicles, etc, just for somethin' to do.
This year the weather was great and I did some exploring on some old mountain roads and found a field of over 50 cars from the 30's and 40's.
The two most notable were a 34 3 window coupe which was laying on its side and appeared to be only missing a rear spring, the other was either a 33 or 34 roadster, which was picked pretty clean. There were more early 30's cars partaily obscured by trees and a LOT of late 30's, early 40's GM cars.
No one was home at the house next to the field and I'd have loved to stomp around and take pics, but feared someone would come home and not apprieciate my tresspassin' (this was mountain country, and I kinda wanted to keep my head ON my carcass)
Hopefully, when we go back in the summertime (in my REAL car) I will find someone home willing to at least let me take some pics. I do find if ya show up in a rod, it tends to break the ice...lol.
I did find a LOT more cars in my travels down there in decent shape, and every year I keep working on the in-laws neighbor for the 40 GMC pickup in his yard in VERY nice shape. He also has a 63 T-Bird and a 64 Galaxie convertible that he'll sell, but won't give a price. (I don't like bein' the buyer AND the seller)

Anyone else out there seen any new found tin?
Anyone else sick of winter already?

Nice find, it's nice to hear that their are still places where you can still find some vintage tin lying around. Just hope all of this stuff doesn't end up at the crusher like so many cars before.
