Rebel Rodz October 2008 Issue
Old Stool Rods '29 Tudor, Incorrigible, is Featured as a build done by a certain Corri Buchholz. Read on as Corri tells of all of his curious adventures and triumphs in this fabulous fairy tale. What a creative little fellow he is. After all, he did add some cute decorations... did he even do that himself?? Hmmm... The tech specs are pretty funny too. Doncha' know what's really up in your ride? It is good for a few laughs.
This is a Jordan Nason build from field find in Northern California through the complete build. This '29 Tudor was then sold at auction on Ebay.
This story is pure comedy. Keep an eye on this page. The true story will be published here shortly.

No... They completely fabricated the story. It should be pretty entertaining to read this guy's made up story knowing he didn't lift finger one in fabrication. Especially if you know how much sweat goes into that type of build. What's so confusing... that magazine sucks and so does Corri Buchholz!

I won't comment on the quality of the competitions magazine, but I will say that it is unfortunate that false information can be printed but it's not necessarily the editors fault. Wrong information sometimes gets published, the writer only has the person who owns the car's word to go by often times. I can see how it can be frustrating that you worked so hard and someone else gets national recognition, although I am sure they have their side of the story.

Yes. His story is that he made up a whopper about how he was driving to Sturgis and got lost, when low and behold, he came across the shell of a '29 tudor with weeds growing through it. He elaborates on all the fine details of retrieving the car and how his family feels about him and his obsession of going to retrieve the car.
HE BOUGHT IT "finished" ON EBAY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!
The '29 Ford you see was built by me, Jordan Nason, in Reno, NV. The car was found in Northern California, not the Dakotas. The car is full of my own personal customizations, like the dash from Arnold's and the crock hide leather on the floors, and the steering column was made from exhaust pipe... not fence post. It has a Toyota steering gear box, not a Corvair. Some things that were left out are the custom skull brake pedal, and wrench window props. The next post on my website will even include a copy of the Ebay listing from when he purchased it from me. You know, Ebay, where things are bought not built. And, to bring his family into the story is really sad. The only thing this guy fabricated was the story itself. Oh well, we know the proof is in the build photos. So, be sure and look close. Thanks for reading this, and props go out to all of those who have been ripped on build credit. You know the truth, and the liars are always found out!!
Seriously, read the article out of the actual magazine... then look at:

Here's the clincher...
We cotacted the magazine directly, and spoke with the editor. He admitted to knowing it wasn't true. Then he laughed it off and said that no one cares about the truth, and that it's "Stories like this one that KEEP HOT RODDING ALIVE!!"
That should make most enthusiasts sick to their stomach.

You built it, so you know. It may not be much comfort when someone else gets the credit for your sweat and time, but it happens all the time. The magazine editors usually just get a stack of photos and an info/spec sheet filled out by the owner and they have to go with that. It's not just happening to you, even some of the big shops around the country fail to get credit for work they did to a car, and this has been happening since the birth of the hobby. PS. You did some nice work.

a word to the "less wise", when working on a project , take photos along the way , and after finishing. the "proof" is in the print.
