Back in the eaarly 50's I built a  street rod from  a 1929 Model A roaster. I choped the top, chanelled the frame,, installed a flat head v8, hyd. breaks, 39ford transmission along with various other parts, ie: gas tank from John Deere Tractor, front grill and windsheild from 33'dodge. It was really a shade tree project as I used a tree in backyard to hoist the engine into the car.
I was into hot rods and purchase all the magazines I could find and I still have them.  I have "Rod and Customs" Volume one, Number one. Dated May 1953. I have over 125 Magazines from 1951 to 1962, Hot Rod, Car Craft, Custom Cars,  Honk, etc.
Later I got into go-carts and have some of these mags also.
If anyone would like a list of these magazines, let me know and I will suppy list. Prices a negotiable.

Why are you planning on getting rid of them?

I am cleaning out my old stuff and no longer work on cars.  I thought someone might have a better use for the books.  The number one Rods and Customs magazine might be a collectors item as well as Honk.
