How do I find a room for the cruise to Bonneville this year. I have tried to call and they said to call the other day and now they are sold out. I am hoping to drive my roadster from St.Louis,MO to Bonneville this year and I can't seem to find a place to stay.

Bonneville rooms are not easy to get and we have not been able to secure a group yet so most are going to be on their own to get rooms. One of our problems with getting the group was going to be how to determine who was actually going to cruise up with us and who was just going to show up at Bonneville, say they were with us and take a room.

Kevin, Thanks for the reply. I have been trying to get a room and I mentioned Rod & Custom magazine and they just seemed to put me on hold. I hope to make it to Bonneville this year for the 60th in my roadster with my dad.

Mike.

We're bringing the Morris down with sleeping bags in the trunk. Gonna sleep at the Bend in the Road, as per B-ville tradition. Don't miss the campfire bench races and Saturday night magnesium fry. Just because Ed Roth isn't there anymore, doesn't mean we shouldn't carry on the tradition...
We'll get a room on the way there and on the way back, but Speedweek will be enjoyed in traditional fashion...

I'm putting together a trailer to pull behind my coupe that has no trunk. I'll probably be at the bend in the road too.

We go to the KOA campground and, but if they don't have any room bring a tent, you can go over to the Peppermill truck drivers center and take showers to get the salt off at night.  It's cool the first day but starts to irritate skin when mixed with sweat after a few days.  Also puts you in the right area to get in on the "All You Can Eat" buffets for brakfast and supper.

Yeah, I've never had a problem with showering at the little truckstop there at the B-ville exit - those guys seem to understand. Good thing, since they'll probably have more campers this year than ever. Good to hear some of you guys are gonna rough it, too - you'll get hero points at the casino parking lot cruise bench races...

By the way, we'll be coming from southern Oregon (will take 140 from Medford to 95, and down to Winnemucca to meet up with the R&C Cruise). Some of our buds will be coming down from Portland - anyone else coming from the Northwest???
And hey Roadster Mike - are you still coming from St. Louis? I know some midwest guys that might like to travel with you...

Man, I don't think I could take roughing it like that.

I always leave a week before so I can set up at the Hot August Nites swap meet for a week then hit Bonneville.

Hey Kevin - Our little NW Tour has reservations for Winnemucca on the 16th. How are the other tours shaping up?

My brother wanted me to find out where the "Americruise" events will be this year?  Will it be held in "Lincoln Nebraska" again this year?  Hope you can provide the information or point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance,
Ron

Nope, this year the Americruise will be headed for Bonneville. Check out the July issue of Rod and Custom to get the basic info.
