Has anyone done this that has some input to make this as easy as possible? I pretty much know how I'm going to do this, but I want to see if anyone has any input on how to make this as easy as possible. Its a 1955 chevrolet pickup (2nd series)

It's easy this time of the year they are hibernating, just put paw in the door, slam it and run like hell. Unless you are going to suicide your doors a rebuild of the stock door latches is the easiest and they work great, but if your heart is set on them just use the same pin points (the anchor on the jam) and rig up the linkage for the bearclaw itself.

Jalopy, you just made me blow water all over my keyboard! But yeah, just make sure to get 'em in there before they wake up for Spring and you'll be okay.
55, you might have to trim a little sheetmetal to fit everything (depending on what brand you use), but in my opinion, it's no big deal and well worth it - these things are ultra-mega secure! You can test 'em by driving through Yellowstone Park and yelling insults at the bears...

You guys are funny! Made me chuckle too.
From the dates of this discussion, I imagine this is a done deal. I used stock hinges and latches on 'Earl', along with the AutoLoc shaved kit. Kept the inside handles for emergency egress....
