It was great, I don't often get to be on the technical side of the business but last night i helped pull the motor out of a truck, it was pretty sweet

Ah yes, one of the critical rites of passage to manhood, next you will be tearing down engines and doing swaps. Skinned knuckels and permanently grease stained clothing are in your future.

Now that you got your fingers dirty and a taste of the mechanical end, when are you going to cruise the countryside or back streets and get yourself a project car? Just from Banning to Pomona on I-10, I've seen 8 or 9 suitable cars and trucks in the 40's and early 50's behind shops and garages.

still trying to find the right car, don't want to get something that is over my head, or just settle for something I don't really want.

So what are you looking for? Coupe, roadster, sedan, 30's, 50's? basket case, driveable? How far from LA?  Let the forum locate one for you.  There is still lots of iron out there.
