Highboy Terminology or How do I get started?

New to the forum but long time car nut. Currently have a 05 CTS-V for my daily driver which I tune a bit myself. Recently completed and sold my first project car a 1929 Mercedes replica, with a 1979 Ford V6. I know (groan) but it was a good first project for me (low cost) and turned out well. Even won its class in a local car show first time out.

I've decided my next project will be a 32 Ford either Highboy or 3 Window Coupe. I've always admired them and now seems like the right time in my life to get one started.

Upon looking into a chasis and body kits to get started I was quickly overwhelmed with all the terminology just around the frame and suspension types. Can anyone recommend a book or article that explains the various options and types?

Me being a new subscriber this would be a perfect magazine article for me ... hint hint.

R&C has a story scheduled for the January 2008 issue identifying various types of rear suspensions, complete with photos and descriptions. It should be showing up in your mailbox around October 20-25. It should be very helpful to you.
