i have a '53 chevy with a 6" chop. i'm 6'6" and have a really hard time seeing. my thought is to cut the seat frame to sit it on the floor. has anyone done this before? anyone have any other ideas?
the seat is a standard 50's style bench that flops over to let in rear passengers. the frame on the seat is about 3.5" tall.
thanks!

Not much else you can do, I've done it in the past and also you might find some early european buckets that will work, I used a set of late 50's Austin Healey buckets once that were real low and they had flat mounting pads on the bottom.
