I couldn't help but notice the last issue of R & C I have has a pull date of Feb. 20, 2007. Went to the various local newstands after Dec. 20 and no R & C. (I let my subscription laspe as I am moving and it's easier to use the new address then to forward).
Here it is Jan. 8 and still no new copy of R & C on the news stands. The people who stock the stands can't offer an explination.
And then the stated last issue of Custom Rodder hit the stands. Can't help but wonder if R & C once again bit the dust.
My fingers are crossed in hopes that the Feb. pull date is for real and several issues of the mag are not going to be publiched...

Or let me put it another way:
If I can not confirm that R & C is still being published I see no reason to respond to those $12 subscription offers I'm receiving daily...

I received the Feb '07 issue about the third week of Dec. Looks like business as usual to me.
See you down the road

Must be nice. Central Ohio's news stands, other then Barnes & Nobles, haven't seen the March issue of R & ***
Seems that I aired the same complaint this time last year...

Last Saturday I received a call from the 205 area code, person on the other end wanted to give me R & C for 93 cents per copy.
Last I heard R & C was being printed in Colorado (only) and the subscription service was in Flordia. So why is a company with a name different then Prime Media contacting me with subcription plans?
Same thing happened a few years back, that call was from California and the guy and I talked about my collection for over a half hour on his dime.
Disregarding the posibility of local printing via page set ups being sent via internet (like USA Today) just how does R & C's newstand price break down?
It's odd that a subscription via US mail costs less then then non-bulk mailing postage costs (yes, I do know that through bulk mailing the rate is lower, we taxpayers make up the difference!).
This ordeal reminds me of an old MAD magazine put-down on mag subscriptions: Hold out long enough and not only will the publisher pay you to take out a subscription he will also marry you to his daughter(s), LOL!

The magazine is not going away, in fact it's doing quite well on the newsstand. Go ahead and send in the sub card and get it delivered to your door for less money.
