Whats the deal with these powdered metal connecting rods? Seems to me that anything made out of iron filings aren't very strong. I'm thinking about a crate motor for my project, but GM, and Edelbrock use these rods and I'm not really ready to plunk down some big bucks for something that will come flying apart when I want to play race car.
Any information would be greatly welcomed. Thanks.... Smitty
