Back in the early 1960s Tom Holden, of Detroit, created a great custom he called the ulTOMus. It was a dual bubble top with a "floating" center console where he installed a tape player and phone. In the dash was a TV and other cool stuff. The front seats swiveled out and the top rose with a push of a button.
The car started out as a 1959 EL Camino.
Has anyone seen this vehicle? I have searched for a long time now but it seems this is the only car to not have anything written on it in the whole internet LOL
Tom has sold this truck many years ago. I have heard that it has gone through various transformations in paint schemes but it started out as a metal flake gold.
Thanks for any help on this.

I can't offer any information about the truck but I remember such a custom from long ago. It would be cool to find it again. Good luck.

Heya Tom, Thanks for your reply.
I eventually found the car and discovered the reason I couldn't find it was misnamed as "ultimus".
My Uncle, Tom Holden, had a sign with the logo of the car as "ulTOMus" (with TOM in capitol letters) when it was being shown at Cobo Hall in Mich. So I do remember that much ![]()
I've uploaded the pictures to my web site. I have just one up as I type this but more coming in the next few days. Including one that is about 2 years old that shows it in pretty bad condition, paint-wise anyway.
