I would like to see more mid 60's Buick tech articles like More on the Nailhead motor and also about doing suspension upgrades. That is How I really got into this Magazine in the first place when they did a articles on Buicks But it was just like all the other Magazines just Rivs! There are a lot of us out here that like the Wildcats and LeSarbes and other full size Buicks. I posted on the "Whats on your mind" thread about seeing a tech article on Air Bags suspension for them. Like I said there If you Guys can't find one to work on I will let you use mine! Please Guys and Gals do more of the other cars instead of the Same old Same old!Dare to be different!

Have the waters been tested or any thought been given to reprinting maybe the first 10 years of R&C in a book form like Hot Rod did a few years ago or the 60's?

That's a really good idea. We put together a book of articles from the '50s a couple years ago, called Rod & Custom in the '50s, but it was just a short collection. All the issues in one volume (like the HR book)would be better. We'll explore that. Thanks for the idea. Got any more?

Other than speedng the Rizz up so we can see what he's done with the roadster? Maybe reprint the articles with the Plans for the "T" bucket from the 60's, with a small engine they might be the econo rods of the future. With rising gas prices the EcoTec and Quad fours are looking real good in a feather weight rod.

I think Jimmy Shine at So-Cal did a good job of proving the potential of an EcoTec in a hot rod. How about "import" engines? Is the hot rod world ready for that?

Blasphemy, but then again the German and Italian V8's and V12's are pretty wild, and expensive. Diesel? Didn't George Barris build a C-Cab with a Mercedes diesel engine it back in th 60's?

As an after thought is the world ready for a Hybrid Rod?? An electric rod that you could hear the stereo in? The system they are putting in the new Tahoes this year is pretty impressive.

TECH: Early Mopar Disk Brake Upgrade!
How about a disk brake upgrade article for the early Mopars, for example, a 53 Desoto.
While ECI hot rod brakes make a bolt on disk kit, the master cyl seems to be the real challenge.
Nothing seems to work with the original safety clutch set up as the mount is part of the master cyl.
I would love to see this solved, thanks, Lance

A build on a 1958 Chevy car (4 door would be cool), a stovebolt build up and tests for different parts combos including S/C, Turbo and EfI. A year ago I was looking for info on a flathead cadillac V8. Throw in some odd ball engine combos (Lincoln V12s, Straight 8s, etc.) Maybe go through a full Kustom build on a 42-49 GM, 49-54 GM or Dodge. Some off the wall stuff. Old Hotrod stuff like sand casting intakes, floating rocker panels(Frosted 1 1/4" Plexiglass with back lighting), perforated light bezels, lucite taillights, cool stuff like that.

I'd like to see a complete conversion of a 4-dr to a 2-door. All of the articles I have seen to date give details up to the point of how to fill the gap around the door skin but never explain HOW to fill the gap.
Best article on the subject to date was in the softback book published by Tex Smith covering the conversion of a Buick 4-dr sedan to convertable.
